The company BSA Schneider Anlagentechnik GmbH from Aachen, Germany celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.

Originally founded by Ehrenfried Schneider in 1990 as a planning office, the company quickly developed into a respected machinery manufacturer for the chocolate industry. The first two machines sold were a gear pump and a small stirrer tank. BSA defines its mission as a full-service provider for the chocolate industry with machinery for the entire production line: dry component handling, mixing, pre-crushing in the first-stage rough rolling mill, refining in the rolling mill and up to processing in drying conches. The product portfolio additionally includes storage tanks such as 5-chamber external tanks and the associated peripheral items such as pumps, filters and conveyor belts.

Ralph and Dirk Schneider, the sons of the company’s founder, took over the family business in 2008, expanding and modernising the company. For them the service department was of special importance. It was gradually expanded, particularly the fine grinding area. One of BSA’s strengths is its ability to adapt flexibly to customers’ wishes and to react very quickly when servicing is needed. All of the machinery from the company is set up for remote access, making a significant contribution to excellent customer bonding.

In its 25 years BSA has earned a highly acclaimed reputation with customers around the world. While the company’s first customers were primarily chocolate manufacturers in Germany, orders soon began to come in from Brazil as well. Today BSA has sales agencies in Europe and worldwide representatives in Russia, the USA, Brazil and Asia. The export share has risen meanwhile to 70?% and is set to grow further. For the coming years, Ralph and Dirk Schneider have resolved to deepen their customer contacts and to strengthen their good market position with the Chocomplete and Chocompact lines for the manufacture of liquid chocolate masses.
