CPK is the holding company of French-based Carambar&Co, which holds some ten iconic chocolate and confectionery brands and is ranked number two in the French market. Lutti, founded in 1889, is number three on the French and number one on the Belgian sugar confectionery markets. This means the new group would be a leading French confectionery company operating on all confectionery market segments.
CPK was founded in May 2017 after Carambar&Co bought the brands Poulain, Carambar, Krema, La Pie Qui Chante and Terry’s and operating licences for Pastilles Vichy, Pralines Suchard and Malabar, from Mondelez International. The good fit of Carambar&Co’s and Lutti’s brands and the new group’s aggressive strategy would be key strengths to rise to the challenge of future confectionery and chocolate market developments while shoring up existing brands’ market share in France and Europe.
