The Schumacher Packaging Group, Ebersdorf bei Coburg, has significantly expanded its production and storage capacities at its Dutch site by relocating to a new, much larger, building. The new buidling of Schumacher Packaging & Display will triple the production area for the display specialists to 15,000 m2. At this site, the packaging manufacturer will now also have a brand new pallet warehouse with space for 7,500 pallets. Those Schumacher Packaging customers for whom the Breda plant manufactures displays will benefit from the site expansion in particular. Customers in the Netherlands and Belgium who acquire corrugated and solid cardboard packaging from Schumacher Packaging plants in Germany will also experience the benefits of just-in-time services.
In addition, a handling service provider that fills packaging, as well building and equipping displays, will soon set up operations at the new site in Breda, which covers a total area of around 50,000 m2. For customers, this also means better service, shorter transport distances and faster delivery times. "The Schumacher Packaging Group took over Vinke Display in Breda in 2014 and we have benefited from a great many synergy effects ever since. We are continuing this success story by investing in the subsequent expansion of the Breda site," explains Luc Swaenen, Managing Director of Schumacher Packaging & Display.
