Ferrero will attend the justice to avoid prohibition of Kinder Surprise in Chile
The Italian company Ferrero is faced with new nutritional food labelling laws in Chile. From June 27, Kinder Surprise eggs are to be outlawed in Chile for using toys as an addiction for young consumers.
The argument of the Health Ministry is that it is a food product with critical nutrients and that are promoted with a toy in the interior.
Ferrero will attend the justice to avoid prohibition of sale. “The toy inside a Kinder Surprise chocolate egg is what makes the product unique, and has been essential to its formulation since it was launched over 40 years ago,” the concern argued.
