Chocolaterie Ickx acquires praline maker Pralibel

Belgian chocolate company Chocolaterie Ickx in Essen, which owns the Dragee company and the import/export firm Rosenberg, both in Roosendaal, has acquired premium manufacturer Pralibel N. V., Vichte.
Pralibel started with hand-crafted confectionery and today offers more than 200 different pralines and truffles with daily production totalling 10 tonnes. In contrast, Chocolaterie Ickx specialises in seasonal chocolate products and other gift-giving occasions. Both the types of pralines from Pralibel, such as dessert pralines, frozen shell cups, and mini manons, as well as packaging like ballotin boxes, gift packages, and tins, win over consumers with innovative character and authentic design.

Pralibel is strongly orientated towards exports and has its own shops in Belgium, France and Germany. According to the companies, Pralibel and Chocolaterie Ickx, which is focussed more on food retail, complement each other with regard to both products and distribution channels.
