France is the partner country of ISM 2016

France is the partner country of the 46th ISM from 31 January to 3 February 2016 in Cologne. With outstanding products and a high-performance sweets and snacks industry, France will be raising its profile at the world‘s most important trade fair for sweets and snacks.

Around 90 exhibitors from France will be presenting their large spectrum of products. In addition to quality and tradition, innovative concepts and recipes also belong to the strengths of the French offer.

The initiator and sponsor of the French partner country activities is the French trade association Alliance 7. It is an amalgamation of nine trade associations of the food industry. These include the commodity groups sweets, chocolate, cereals, bread and bakery products, snack items, honey and coffee products as well as products for special nutritional needs. Sopexa SA is responsible for the organisation. The central point of contact at ISM 2016 will be the French Pavilion in Hall 4.2.

After Turkey, Belgium, Russia and Brazil, France is the fifth partner country of ISM. With around 90 exhibitors, France is traditionally among the top five most highly represented countries at ISM. The share of foreign exhibitors at ISM is generally very high as is the share of foreign trade visitors. As such, once again in 2016, around 85 percent of the exhibitors will come from abroad. Of the approx. 37,000 trade visitors registered at the last ISM, 69 percent came from abroad from 141 countries. As partner country of ISM, France will clearly accentuate the high competitiveness of its products on the international sweets and snacks market.
