Haribo will revise and enlarge its US subsidiary, which was established in 1982, in order to tap the full potential of the American candy market. Beginning in the second half of 2014, Salvatore Ferrara II and Holger Terstiege will be joining the Haribo of America, Inc. team. Both will be appointed to the advisory board in addition to Chairman Hans Guido Riegel and Michael Phiesel. Ferrara and Terstiege will act as the executive management team of Haribo of America. Christian Jegen, who has been responsible for the American business until now, will continue his contribution to the growth of the company as Sales Director of Haribo of America.
Until recently, 63 years old Ferrara was Chairman and CEO of the family business Ferrara Candy Company. He is a member of various organizations of the American candy industry. Terstiege, currently Managing Director of Haribo Turkey, has been with Haribo since 2006. Alongside his role as the Commercial Management Director of the Turkish subsidiary, he assumed responsibility for the regions of South-West Asia and Middle East/North Africa in recent years. His succession in these areas will be decided soon.
