Nestlé first-quarter sales: growth in emerging markets

Nestlé SA, Vevey, has announced total sales of CHF 20.8 bn in the first quarter 2014. The Swiss company Nestle said its organic sales performance was in line with expectations. The company booked organic sales growth of 4.2%, beating consensus expectations of 4%. Confectionery sales were down 2.2 bn (- 0,5 %).
