Manner chalks up 2013 first half year growth

Vienna-based confectionery manufacturer Manner has reported growth of 10.1% in sales during the first half of 2013 up to € 90.2 m. Operating income climbed from - € 2.1 m in the first half of 2012 to + € 5.2 m. This was mainly driven by double digit growth in exports, which exceeded 60% (61.5%) for the very first time. Manner stores also delivered robust sales growth (+ 5.9%).

Looking ahead to the second half of 2013, Manner is anticipating further growth – albeit not necessarily in the double digit range. Thanks to this strong performance, financing for the restructuring and modernisation of the main facility in Vienna Hernals is secure. Manner AG expect to move into its brand new office building by the end of the year, according to a spokesperson.
