Baronie akquires Kathy Chocolaterie and Chocolaterie Duc de Flandres

Belgian Baronie Group, Veurne has taken over the shares of Kathy Chocolaterie NV, Bruges and its affiliated firm Chocolaterie Duc de Flandres SA, Wormhout for the full 100%. In this way the enlarged Baronie Group can continue growing in its current market segments. In its 5 factories, the new Baronie Group produces a large product portfolio such as Belgian pralines, seashells, and tablets, and is specialized in seasonal chocolates for Saint Nicolas, Christmas and Easter.

Besides its own brands, Baronie group - which has also taken over Barry Callebaut`s European consumer business Stollwerck a few weeks before - also produces Private Labels and Third Party Brands for national and international customers. Baronie Group already owns 3 state-of-the-art production facilities in the Netherlands and Belgium, and has a hyper modern logistics centre for storage and co-packing activities in Belgium.
