Barry Callebaut increases sales and is well prepared for the ISM

Barry Callebaut AG announced its key sales figures for Q1 of fiscal year 2010/11, ended November 30, 2010. Sales volume increased considerably by 5.6% to 383,222 tonnes, driven by the Gourmet & Specialties Products business as well as the good performance of emerging markets and the Cocoa Products business. Sales revenue went up significantly by 14.2% in local currencies. Due to unfavourable exchange rate developments, in particular the strengthening of the Swiss franc against the euro and the US dollar, sales revenue in the reporting currency (CHF) was negatively affected and rose 4.9% to CHF 1.52 bn.

Barry Callebaut will once again be out in force at the upcoming ISM trade fair in Cologne. New products and new processes will be the highlight, all presented in a brand new booth. Visitors to the Barry Callebaut booth at ISM will have an exclusive sneak preview at a genuine first for the chocolate world. The result of years of ground-breaking research in origin countries, Barry Callebaut will for the first time unveil an exciting new concept in superior tasting chocolate.

In addition to this exciting new discovery, Barry Callebaut will also be showcasing its inspiring and virtually endless range of decorations, inclusions and fillings to whet your appetite and imagination. Immerse yourself in a world of enticing colors, shapes, textures and tastes. A refreshing new design and inviting atmosphere await visitors to Barry Callebaut‘s corner booth at ISM. The stand embodies the company‘s renewed focus in response to the changing face of the confectionery industry.
