Amcor Flexibles Packaging Design Prize
Amcor Flexibles Food announces the 2008 Amcor Flexibles Packaging Design Prize for design students from universities all over Europe. This year, the challenge is to design a flexible package for one or more of the following categories: Confectionery, Cheese or Coffee. Ten years after the introduction of the Amcor Flexibles Packaging Design Prize, the reward is more attractive than ever; the winning student will be offered a job with Amcor Flexibles Food.
“We are constantly striving for new ideas and effective product innovations. With our Packaging Design Prize competition we want to inspire students and give them the possibility to design innovative, creative and practical packaging concepts for brands and products they know from their daily lives. This time the winner will have a very exciting year ahead! We are offering a 12 month employment contract,” commented Andrew Parker, Market Director at Amcor Flexibles.
The judging panel is composed of specialists from leading consumer goods companies, such as Mars for example. They will judge the entries based on their graphic design, the ability to meet the design brief and strategic thinking. The submitted packaging ideas need to combine adequate product protection, attractiveness, functionality, cost-effectiveness and low environmental impact.
The entry form and additional information can be found on www.designprize.net. All entries must be received no later than 12 January 2009.
