Cologne chocolate museum attracts record number of visitors

The Cologne chocolate museum attracted a record-breaking 690,000 visitors in 2007. Since being founded by Hans Imhoff in 1993, the museum has been visited by over seven million people. In March 2006 premium concern Lindt & Sprüngli became museum partners. On show are numerous exhibits related to recent German chocolate manufacturing history. In addition the museum provides a comprehensive overview of chocolate history from its very beginnings, while a so-called "glass factory" offers a fascinating insight into modern chocolate-making techniques.
