Lindt expands New Hampshire facility
Lindt USA has expanded its production facility in New Hampshire by 300,000 square feet, creating 500 new jobs. The factory produces about 7 million Lindor Truffle chocolates a day. Gov. John Lynch noted after a ribbon cutting and tour last week that the multinational company could have located anywhere, but it chose new Hampshire. He said New Hampshire now will be known as the "sweetest" if not the "chocolatiest" state in the nation. The multimillion dollar expansion project comes during major growth in the premium chocolate market.
