Cadbury candy factory in Sheffield was affected by flooding

Following extensive flooding in parts of the North of England, the Sheffield candy factory of Cadbury Trebor Bassett, alongside homes and businesses in the area, was severely affected and production has been temporarily suspended. Employees on site are currently leading an extensive clean-up operation. The company has evaluated the extent of the damage to the building and manufacturing equipment, and believes that it will be a number of weeks before the factory is fully operational.
