Tate & Lyle defend Sucralose patent rights

Tate & Lyle Sucralose, Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of UK-based Tate & Lyle plc, has filed suit against a number of Chinese companies it claims are infringing its patents on the production of sucralose. The suit, filed in U.S. District Federal Court for Central Illinois, names the manufacturer and six importers of the alleged infringing sweetener made in China.
