Morrison s chairman Ken Morrison to step down

Accondring "Bloomberg.com", Ken Morrison has agreed to relinquish his chairmanship of Wm Morrison Supermarkets PLC. Morrison s purchase of Safeway PLC in 2004 angered shareholders who point to the company s financial performance as an indication the move was ill-considered. Morrison will remain life president of the chain.
