Manner: distribution organisation launched

Josef Stollenwerk,in charge of Manner distribution and sales within the Stollwerck AG since October 1st 2005, is to take over as head of Manner’s new distribution organisation based in Cologne on July 1st 2006. As reported, a 20 year old cooperation agreement between Stollwerck and Manner will end in June 2006.The sales and distribution organisation is expected to intensify Manner’s presence on the German market and drive sales. “Our aim is to see our products stocked by all major German retailers,”explained Michael Baumgärtner, member of the Manner board, announcing plans for a comprehensive sales campaign in Germany. During the next three years the Vienna-based wafer specialists are to open a flagship store in Munich. Interest in Manner franchise stores has been shown in Hong Kong,Tokio and Dubai, according to press reports.Manner aim to increase exports from 50% to 70%.
