Delitzscher Schokoladen GmbH becomes independent again

Delitzscher Schokoladen GmbH,Delitzsch,is now an independent concern. In future van Netten GmbH,a 90% subsidiary of Jülicher Zucker AG, will no longer be behind the Delitzscher brand name. As MD Werner Pithan explained, the chocolate company left the sugar concern’s group with the approval of the board. Machinery,equipment and goods worth €7m have been taken over. Pithan said there would be no negative impact on working terms and conditions, nor were any of the 300 jobs at Delitzscher in danger of being lost. In 2005 production volume at Delitzscher Schokoladen amounted to 14,100 tonnes.
