US investor Oaktree takes over Roncadin ice cream division

Oaktree Capital Management LLC is set to take over the Roncadin ice cream division; the transaction is pending approval by regulators.
The acquisition involves Roncadin management - CEO Achim Schön and CFO Roger Konrad. Up until now the Roncadin ice cream division, which is headquartered in Osnabrück and runs production facilities in Vayres, France and Mielec, Poland, has been part of Roncadin SpA, Rome. In Italy Roncadin manufacture poultry and fish products as well as ready meals. In summer 2005 the concern divested itself of its pizza business.
