Orkla to buy Danish confectioner

Orkla Food Ingredients, subsidiary of Norway’s food company Orkla, will buy all the shares in Bæchs Conditori. The Danish company is one of the market leaders for frozen fine confectionery products. The product range consists of dry cakes, cream cakes, cake portions and tarts. Operating revenues in 2004 totalled approximately DKK60m (€8.06m).
