Kuchenmeister to expand further with Dan Cake

Following the acquistition of Dan Cake, Soest-based Kuchenmeister GmbH can now concentrate on accessing eastern European markets more efficiently. Dan Cake was purchased by a consortium which included Kuchenmeister. "Consumers expect variety and innovation - combined with a high degree of convenience," explains Hans-Günther Trockels, head of the family-owned company established in 1884.
Kuchenmeister chalked up steady growth despite the difficult market environment. Sales in 2004 were up 11% on the year before to total € 150 m. Exports accounted for approximately 35% of that figure. The Kuchenmeister range includes almost 500 articles which are dispatched to over 80 countries. Approximately 62% of the company s revenue is generated by sales of the Kuchenmeister brand, 24% by private label sales and 14% by industrial client sales.
