Salon du Chocolat in Paris

Chocolate makers from as far away as Japan and New York have converged on Paris, seeking to carve out a niche the French market.The Salon du Chocolat draw 170 makers and 100,000 chocolate lovers. The show signals the beginning of a season of chocolate trade shows in New York and Tokyo – at which chocolate makers cross the world to present their luxury product on either others’ patch. There was only one exhibitor from Germany - Confiserie Coppeneur et Compagnon presenting a wonderful collection (see page 13). Many French and Belgian artisanal chocolate makers showed a lot of exciting products and actions, too.
