Katjes win case against consumer protection groups

Katjes Fassin GmbH & Co KG,Emmerich,have won their case before the Cleves district court.As reported the German consumer protection groups had accused Katjes Fassin of misleading the public,causing them to perceive Katjes articles healthy by labelling them fat free”. The consumer protection group pointed out that not only did the products fact contain fat, but also that the up to 75 % sugar content could contribute towards causing obesity. The court dismissed the accusation and found that the fat contentwas negligible (less than 0.5 %) and therefore no importance to health-conscious consumers.
