Jutrzenka purchase Nestlé brand Goplana
By the end of 2004 listed company Jutrzenka will have completed their acquisition of Polish confectionery brand Goplana, which they are taking over from Nestlé subsidiary Nestlé Polska S.A.The sum involved has not been disclosed; Jurtzenka is financing the purchase with shares and credit. Goplana ranks as one of Poland’s major confecitonery companies alongside Cadbury Wedel and Kraft Foods. “Thanks to our acquisition of Goplana we will have access to new segments” explains CEO Jan Kolanski. Goplana sales are said to be worth Z 150 m (€ 34.8 m) – Jutrzenka’s turnover will double as result of the takeover.
