ACNielsen - Growth in sales
Confectionery sales in Germany during the first seven months of 2004 rose 5.8 % up €4.842 bn.According to the confectionery monitor for the year up until the 31st calendar week the market research company ACNielsen reported growth in sales of all product groups in food retail stores not including Aldi).Growth in sales of salty snacks was highest in terms of percentage 10.4 %), followed by chocolate (+ 8.9 %), sweet biscuits wafers (+ 4.2 %) and sugar confectionery (+ 3.8 %).
