Neuhaus re-enters profit zone
Belgian chocolatiers Neuhaus, Brussels, have re-entered the profit zone after two consecutive years in the red. The company announced a profit of €696,000 for the business year 2003/04 (ending 30.6). Sales of the Neuhaus brand dipped 2% during the first half year, but bounced back later on,growing by 12%. Whole year sales were worth € 25 m, an increase of 4% on the previous year. Jeff de Bruges – the company’s other brand sold mostly in France, where there are 172 Jeff de Bruges shops – reported growth of 10% up to € 34 m.
